LOS ANGELES - Buick unveiled the 2012 LaCrosse with eAssist, a new fuel-saving technology that increases fuel economy by 25 percent compared to the four-cylinder/six-speed powertrain in the 2011 LaCrosse.

The Fit EV will have a top speed of 90 mph and achieve an estimated 100-mile driving range per charge.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center Receives EV Charging Stations

NASHVILLE, TN - Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) announced it will participate in a pilot rollout that will install more than 15,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations by June 2011 as part of The EV Project, the largest deployment of EV charging infrastructure in history.

In addition to a reduction in pollution, the new trucks are approximately 15 percent (8-10 decibels) quieter than trucks powered with diesel engines, according to the company.
