Earth Day Coalition Presents Alt-Fuel Fleet Workshops

The Earth Day Coalition (EDC) has received funding from the Ohio Environmental Education Fund to produce the Reducing Geenhouse Gas Emissions project, which will include three Fuel for Thought workshops designed for local fleet directors and one Workforce Development Opportunity in Alternative Fuels workshop for area educators.

Montgomery County Transitions to CNG Refuse Fleet

Montgomery County, Ohio, has converted its refuse fleet to run on compressed natural gas (CNG). The county expects to save $150,000 annually in fuel.

EPA Certifies Bi-Fuel CNG System for GM, Isuzu Cabovers

AGA Systems received EPA Certification of its EcoSync HD Bi-fuel/CNG alternative-fuel system for the 2017 General Motors Vortec 6.0L engine that is used in the Isuzu NPR and the Chevrolet Low Cab Forward trucks.


Westport Gains EPA Certification to Modify 2017 Ford Trucks

Westport has gained approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to equip 2017-model-year Ford vehicles with its WiNG Power System that enables the vehicles to run compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquid propane gas (LPG), also known as propane autogas.

Fuel supplier Piedmont Natural Gas hopes to expand compressed natural gas adoption with lowered fuel prices and contracts with government and commercial fleets in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.



NG Advantage Names CEO

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. subsidiary NG Advantage LLC has named Enrico "Rico" Biasetti its CEO. Biasetti succeeds Tom Evslin, who will remain chairman of the board of directors, the company announced.

GM Expanding Alt-Fuel Heavy-Duty Pickup Lineup

General Motors is expanding its lineup of heavy-duty pickups and vans fueled by compressed natural gas and propane autogas for the 2017 and 2018 model years, which will bring its alternative fuel lineup to more than 25 vehicles.

Natural gas offers reduced emissions and a more affordable fuel choice. This channel covers compressed natural gas vehicle conversions, liquefied natural gas as a fuel source, fuel storage, bi-fuel vehicles, natural gas buses and transit vehicles, technologies used in natural gas fueling systems, and fleets converting their vehicles to this fuel source.
