GREER, SC - Last week, the City of Greer Commission of Public Works unveiled two new vehicles, a Ford Fusion and Ford F-150, that had been converted to run on natural gas, according to Greenville Online.

Greer has set a goal of converting at least 15 percent of the City's fleet to operate on natural gas by 2020, part of several green initiatives in the city's 2010 Comprehensive Plan.

The utility is also working to obtain about $300,000 in grants to upgrade its fueling stations, according to the news source.
