As a result of the rising gasoline prices in 2008, most of the 130,000 natural gas vehicles that are on the road today are corporate fleet vehicles, according to environmentalleader.com.

Apparently, the natural gas conversion trend is increasing as Dallas-based BAF Technologies, a natural gas vehicle conversion company, recently signed a contract with AT&T Inc. to convert 8,000 fleet vehicles to natural gas over the next five years.

Additionally, BAF also has contracts with the California Port Authority in Los Angeles and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
