Ford Motor Co. is recalling 2013-2014 model-year C-Max hybrids in North America to address problems related to air bags.

Ford is recalling 692,487 2013-2014 model-year Escape SUV crossovers and C-Max hybrids to fix a potential software glitch. This issue might delay deployment of some air bags during a rollover crash. Of these recalled vehicles, about 591,000 were sold in the U.S. About 78,000 are in Canada and about 19,500 are in Mexico. To remedy this problem, dealers will reprogram the restraint control module.

Vehicle owners can reach Ford at 1-800-392-3673.
