DALLAS - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded more than $1 million to reduce diesel emissions to the Port of Corpus Christi Authority. The funds will improve air quality in the Corpus Christi area by reducing emissions from in-use diesel engines. The project will repower a 120-ton switch engine locomotive and two industrial diesel engines with anti-idling, fuel efficiency and particulate filtering technology.
