ST. LOUIS, MO - The National Truck Equipment Association has formed a new affiliate division, the Green Truck Association, to help fleets, manufacturers and others stay informed about regulatory and industry developments.

The new association, set to launch later this spring, will also work to expand and improve the market for green truck applications. NTEA made the announcement at its Green Truck Summit on March 9.

"Creating an affiliate division specifically focused on green trucks is a natural extension of the work the NTEA began in this area with the launch of the Green Truck Summit a few years ago," said Andrew Outcalt, NTEA president and president of Meyer Products and Swenson Spreader in Cleveland. "As interest and demand for green products continues to grow within the work truck industry, we are positioning the association and our members to provide the support and insight needed to drive ongoing technology improvements and increase awareness of real-world applications."

Membership is open to any interested business or organization. For more information about the Green Truck Association, visit www.greentruckassociation.com.
