Energy Xtreme to Showcase Technology at the 2009 COPS West Expo

October 15, 2009

Who:  Energy Xtreme, an energy solutions company that helps its clients reduce costs while meeting and exceeding environmental standards.

What:  Energy Xtreme will display its Independence Package, a comprehensive, solid-state power-management system that consists of dry recyclable power cells that provide energy to operate a police car system's full electrical load with the engine turned off.

When:  Oct. 20, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
             Oct. 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where:  COPS West Expo 2009, Booths 1710 and 1712
               Ontario Convention Center
               2000 Convention Center Way E
               Ontario, CA 91764

Why:  The Independence Package saves law enforcement departments money on wasted gasoline, wear and tear on vehicle engines and helps ensure their cars stay in the field due to less maintenance and no dead batteries. The Independence Package reduces overall emissions by using stored power instead of the car's gasoline-powered engine to run its electrical systems. See the Independence Package firsthand at the Expo as it will be featured on a Crown Victoria from the Inglewood Police Department. Also hear firsthand from Rick Longobart, the fleet services superintendent for the City of Inglewood, about how the Inglewood Police Department will utilize the Independence Package.
