BRUCE COUNTY, ONTARIO – Bruce County is working toward going green. The county is looking into fleet management policies that would encourage hybrids and reduce idling. Director of Emergency Services Doug Smith said the goal is to consider the environment and be more economical, according to www.radioowensound.com.

Smith said if the municipality starts with a green fleet, it will encourage others to use more fuel efficient vehicles. He also said the county will need to ensure they are tested by the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance.
