Flocking to the Front

Have you ever seen a flock of geese migrating with one goose in the lead and the others trailing behind in a perfect V formation? This is an example of how environment supports the belief that leadership is being in control of the direction.

However, dig a little deeper and you’ll discover that the leading goose is doing even more. It is actually giving the trailing birds an aerodynamic advantage to make their flight a little easier. The leader is working harder than the others to benefit the total flock.

At ROUSH CleanTech, we see this kind of leadership every day in the customers we serve.

Our customers aren’t just trailing behind to gain the advantages of what’s already been done. They’re stimulating an environmental change by adopting alternative fuel technology to make the quality of life better for the communities in which they serve.

In fact, our customers are often the lead geese. Take Ron Latko, director of transportation and fleet management for Mesa Unified School District, for instance. He is an outspoken advocate for reducing fuel costs and emissions using clean, domestic alternative fuels. Ron promotes the benefits of sustainable fuel technology to other fleets so that they, too, may reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign energy.

Domestic alternative fuels, such as propane autogas, not only save on the bottom line, but also help clean the air for the overall flock.

Where do you fit in the flock?
